Hiroshi Miyama

Born in Nankoku City, Kochi Prefecture. Influenced by her grandmother, she aspired to become a singer from an early age. In 2004, she participated in the NHK Nodo Jiman show in her hometown of Kochi Prefecture, and became the champion of the competition.
At the age of 24, he moved to Tokyo and trained under composer Norimasa Nakamura for three years. His debut song, "Hito Koi Sakaba," released in 2009, sold over 100,000 copies. His warm voice and consistent singing ability have earned him the nickname "vitamin voice." His 2015 song, "Oiwakisan," sold 150,000 copies and led to his debut appearance on the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen. He has appeared there for 11 consecutive years since then. In March 2023, he received the Excellence Award at the 44th Matsuo Entertainment Awards. He is currently taking on the challenge of rakugo, one of Japan's three major storytelling arts, performing under the stage names Miyamaya Tosaharu. He is also constantly challenging himself with new ideas, such as creating a new genre of rakugo kayo, a fusion of rakugo and enka.
