Project Overview

What is Nagasaki Stadium City?

This is a large complex consisting of a soccer stadium, arena, hotel, commercial facilities and offices, operated by Regional Creation Nagasaki, a part of the Japanet Group.
The area is home to a 20,000-seat soccer stadium that is the home of the professional soccer club V-Varen Nagasaki, a 6,000-seat arena that is the home of the professional basketball club Nagasaki Velca, Japan's first soccer stadium view hotel, a fun-filled commercial facility filled with places to eat, learn, and play, and one of the largest office buildings in Nagasaki Prefecture that attracts companies from both within and outside the prefecture.

Our passion for sports and regional revitalization projects

Based on the idea of "discovering, polishing and communicating" good things, Japanet is working on sports and regional revitalization projects as a second pillar alongside our mail order business. After being selected as a business operator to utilize the site of the reorganization of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Nagasaki Shipyard Saiwaimachi Factory, we came up with the idea of revitalizing our hometown as a company from Nagasaki by building our own stadium in the center of Nagasaki, and launched the "Nagasaki Stadium City Project" with the full force of the Japanet Group.
In addition, with the desire to "create a place where we can deliver excitement through sports," we made the professional soccer club "V-Varen Nagasaki" a group company in 2017, and founded the professional basketball club "Nagasaki Velca" in 2020.
Nagasaki Prefecture is filled with many wonderful things, including history, culture, and food, but I feel that its charm has yet to be fully conveyed, as Nagasaki City has the worst "excess emigration" rate in the country. I truly believe that discovering the charm of the region, refining it, and then communicating and spreading it throughout the country will lead to the revitalization of Nagasaki.
Nagasaki is undergoing a once-in-a-century period of transformation, and as a private company, we are determined to move forward with the goal of encouraging more people to visit, live and work in Nagasaki through Nagasaki Stadium City, so that the city of Nagasaki will become a place of pride for everyone.
