Marion Co., Ltd. opened the first Marion Crepes store on Shibuya Koen-dori in 1976, and was the first in Japan to introduce the style of wrapping crepes in paper and eating them while walking around.
The following year, in 1977, the store opened on Takeshita Street (in the same location as today) and became the "birthplace of the food-walking culture" by offering cutting-edge sweets that were in line with youth culture.
Currently, the company operates approximately 80 stores nationwide, and continues to focus solely on crepes.
