Saya Yamaguchi/Piano
Born in Nagasaki Prefecture. Graduated from the Faculty of Music at Kwassui Women's University.
Appeared at the 47th Nagasaki Prefecture Newcomer Concert and the 15th Kyushu Newcomer Concert.
He has been selected for the national finals of the PTNA Piano Competition for four consecutive years. He won first place in the PIARA Piano Competition National Championship and the Hamamatsu City Cultural Promotion Foundation Award. He won the gold prize and the judges' special prize at the 19th Kyushu Music Competition. He won the grand prize at the 13th Oto no Yume Piano Competition National Championship. He has also won prizes in various other competitions.
He has performed chamber music with the Japan Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and Kyushu Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Yasutomo Ogiya. At the Nagasaki City Opera Music Festival, he performed Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 as a soloist with the Meister Festival Orchestra (members of the NHK Symphony Orchestra and Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, etc.). He is currently based in Nagasaki Prefecture and performs and teaches solo and ensemble performances in the Kyushu area.
