Starring Ryunosuke Kamiki! Set on Hashima Island in Nagasaki, the much talked about TBS Sunday Theatre "Diamonds Sleeping in the Sea" has set up a special exhibition space at Nagasaki Stadium City to commemorate the release of the Blu-ray and DVD.

A special exhibition space commemorating the release of the TBS Sunday Theatre "Diamonds Sleeping in the Sea" Blu-ray and DVD will be set up on the second floor of Nagasaki Stadium City NORTH from (Fri), April 18th to (Tue), May 6th, 2025.

■The Blu-ray and DVD of the hugely popular Sunday Theatre drama "Diamonds Sleeping in the Sea," which aired on TBS in October 2012, is now on sale!
To commemorate this, a special exhibition, "Diamonds Sleeping in the Sea - Nagasaki Collection,"will be held on the second floor of Nagasaki Stadium City NORTH from (Fri) April 18th!

More than 40 items will be on display, including costumes worn by Kamiki Ryunosuke, Saito Takumi, Sugisaki Hana, Ikeda Eliza, Shimizu Hiroya, and Tsuchiya Tao in the film, props that appeared in the film, and photo panels of famous scenes.

■What are "Diamonds Sleeping in the Sea"?
A television drama that was broadcast on TBS's "Sunday Theater" slot from (Sun) October 20th to (Sun) December 22nd, 2024.
The lead role is played by Kamiki Ryunosuke, an actor who has appeared in numerous productions and is passionate about being supported by people of all generations.
A completely original story created by the powerful team of screenwriter Akiko Nogi, director Ayuko Tsukahara, and producer Junko Arai, who worked on the TV dramas "Unnatural" and "MIU404" and the movie "The Last Mile." It is a grand story of love, friendship, and family spanning 70 years, set in Hashima Island, Nagasaki Prefecture, which has flourished in the coal industry since 1955, and modern-day Tokyo. It weaves a story of family ties, human relationships, youth and love from the "era of nothing but dreams and brimming with vitality" from the postwar reconstruction period to the high economic growth period. At the same time, it depicts the modern era of "a time when everything seems to exist, but young people cannot dream," and finds hope that connects the past to the present, making it a timeless human love entertainment.
Kamiki, the star of this film, takes on the challenge of playing two roles! He plays the polar opposite characters of the protagonist, Teppei, a bright and straightforward young man living on Hashima Island in the 1950s, and Reo, a hostess with no dreams, hopes or motivation in modern-day Tokyo.
