First appearance in Nagasaki! An outdoor multi-court for "Pickleball," a popular sport in the United States, opens at Nagasaki Stadium City! ~The 3x3 court will be renovated from July 19th~

Nagasaki Stadium City is pleased to announce that the 3X3 court on the rooftop of the clubhouse adjacent to HAPPINESS ARENA will be renovated into a multi-purpose court for pickleball and other sports starting July 19, 2025.
Pickleball, which is a big hit in the United States, is gradually spreading in Japan as a sport that can be easily started by both children and adults and can be enjoyed throughout one's life. Come experience the popular pickleball at Nagasaki Stadium City.■What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a sport that was created in the United States in 1965, combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. Players hit a plastic ball with holes using a flat paddle on a court the same size as a badminton court.
Compared to other sports, it is easy to master and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders. On the other hand, professional matches are a deep sport where not only power and speed but also strategic aspects are important. If you join a practice alone with a paddle, you will be randomly paired with various people to play, so it is a sociable sport where you can make friends with many people.

■Rental items are also available! Beginners can enjoy the experience empty-handed!
At the pickleball courts at Nagasaki Stadium City, we have rental equipment available so that everyone from beginners to experienced players can enjoy the game. Rental paddles and balls are included in the fee, so you can come and enjoy the game empty-handed. Why not spend some refreshing and active time with friends, coworkers, or fellow supporters in a casual environment where you can play regardless of your sports experience?

■Free pickleball court access campaign will be held for three days only from the opening!
To celebrate the opening of the pickleball courts, we will be running a free entry campaign from July 19th (Sat) to July 21st (Mon, holiday).
We will also hold a trial session for the general public, inviting an instructor from the Japan Pickleball Federation. (Advance registration required)

*Advance registration is required for the general public experience session. Please note that if the capacity is reached, a lottery will be held.
*For reservations after 4:00 p.m. from July 19th (Sat) to July 21st (Mon., holiday), please come to the pickleball court reception counter as reservations must be made on-site.
*The last admission time for free admission is 9pm.

Reservations for the pickleball courts will begin at 3pm on Wednesday (Wed)!
For use from July 22nd (Tue) onwards, please make your reservation through the Nagasaki Stadium City official app.

Usage fee: Weekdays 500 yen / Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 800 yen (per hour per pickleball court)

The pickleball court can continue to be used as a 3X3 basketball court, and can now also be used as a full basketball court.
