Regional Creation Nagasaki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture / President and CEO: Hideki Iwashita) will begin a new payment system at Nagasaki Stadium City, which is now in its second year of operation.
Since its opening in October 2024, the facility has been operated under the concept of being "completely cashless." Over the past year, in response to various feedback received from customers and business partners, we are launching a new payment concept, "Smart Payment," with the aim of making the facility even more comfortable and user-friendly for all customers.

In addition to existing cashless payment options, cash payments will also be accepted starting April 1, 2026 (Wed).

■Background of the initiative: Responding to customer feedback to create an even more convenient and enjoyable place.
Since its opening, Nagasaki Stadium City has welcomed many visitors from both Japan and abroad, with over 4.85 million visitors in its first year.
In a survey of visitors, we received feedback, particularly from children and seniors, that they wanted to be able to shop easily using cash. Taking this feedback seriously, we have decided to introduce a new service called "Smart Payment" so that all customers can enjoy their time at Nagasaki Stadium City without any stress.
Starting April 1st, 2026 (Wed), in addition to the existing cashless payment options, cash payments will also be accepted.
Through this initiative, we aim to create an environment where all our customers can enjoy themselves more comfortably, including children who enjoy having their pocket money in hand and senior customers who prefer to pay with cash, which they are accustomed to using.

■What is "Smart Payment," which expands payment options?
"Smart Payment" is a payment concept that balances the benefits of both improved customer convenience and the efficient stadium operations that we aim for.

We will maintain the benefits of digital transformation (DX) in store operations, such as eliminating register closing procedures and preventing errors in handling money, which have been achieved through "complete cashless" operations, while also improving the convenience of cash.

*What is a 1-day "J-Preca"?... It is a receipt-style prepaid card that can be issued by inserting cash into a dedicated machine installed inside the building.
This service is perfect for those who want to easily use cashless payment "for just one day," and any unused balance can be settled only on the day of issuance. Nagasaki Stadium City has already had an environment where cash payments are accepted through the introduction of J-Preca, and you can continue to use J-Preca as before, so customers who prefer cash can visit with peace of mind.

▼ Automatic cash dispenser

In addition to the already installed cash-accepting J-Preca cards and vending machines, we will be introducing an "automatic change dispenser" in April, allowing customers to insert cash themselves and receive change automatically. We will also be updating our existing payment machines. This will enable near-contactless cash transactions, ensuring hygienic and smooth checkouts, while also reducing the burden of closing out the registers and preventing errors in cash handling for the stores.
Additionally, KIOSK terminals that accept cash will be newly introduced in the food hall and the stadium's third-floor concourse around the summer of 2026.

By leveraging the latest technology, we will provide a truly smart stadium experience where all customers can freely choose their payment method to suit their own style.
