Nagasaki Stadium City is pleased to announce that it will host the "Top Gun: Maverick Cinema Concert" on (Sat), August 22, 2026. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the release of the first film (1986). This cinema concert, featuring the blockbuster film that grossed over $1 billion worldwide, will be the first of its kind in Kyushu, offering a full-length screening on the big screen accompanied by a powerful live orchestral performance. Experience an overwhelmingly immersive experience that cannot be achieved through film alone at the HAPPINESS ARENA.

Released in Japan in May 2022, the film "Top Gun: Maverick" achieved an astonishing box office revenue of over 13.7 billion yen. In the same year's domestic box office rankings, it secured the top spot in the foreign film category, far ahead of the second-place film, and worldwide it became a massive hit, exceeding $1 billion, the highest grossing film of Tom Cruise's career. It has truly become a legendary film that has etched its name into film history.

This performance, which brings you this historically acclaimed blockbuster film with a full-length screening on the big screen and a powerful live orchestral performance, has been a huge success in over 10 cities worldwide, including the UK and Germany. In Japan, it was held in Tokyo and Osaka last year, and this will be the first time it is held in Kyushu. For this Nagasaki performance, we welcome conductor Kazuki Wada, who will recreate the famous musical pieces that color the film with a powerful live performance.
