The monthly "The Golden Stage" will feature Yoshimi Tendo in August!

Nagasaki Stadium City has announced that Yoshimi Tendo will be performing on (Thu) August 27, 2026, as the next addition to the lineup for "TALK & LIVE The Golden Stage produced by Japanet," which is held monthly at Happiness Arena.

Yoshimi Tendo

At the age of 15, she released "Dai-chan Kazoeuta," the theme song for the anime "Inakappe Taisho." She won the YTV "All Japan Singing Championship" for 10 consecutive weeks, becoming the youngest ever 7th champion and making her professional debut in 1972. In 1985, she released "Dotonbori Ninjo," and the Hanshin Tigers won the Japan Series that year, making the phrase "You can't lose in Tokyo~♪" a huge hit. From her first appearance at the 44th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen in 1993, she appeared 30 times, serving as the final performer for the Red Team three times. Her 1996 release "Jindo Monogatari" was a massive hit, selling 1.3 million copies. She became the first female singer in history to win the Japan Record Award for Best Vocal Performance three times. In 1998, her "Yoshimi-chan Keychain" became a hot topic as a charm against evil, gaining popularity among junior and senior high school girls and becoming a representative social phenomenon of the Heisei era. In a commercial for throat lozenges, she created the hugely popular phrase "You can't underestimate it~♪." In 2023, she made her film debut as an actress, appearing in three movies including "Fly Me to Saitama" and musicals. In 2024, her song "Showa Katagi" topped all karaoke rankings, including Monthly Karaoke Fan, DAM & JOYSOUND, becoming the biggest hit song of the Reiwa era in the enka/kayokyoku category.

Beyond singing, she has been a beloved figure in households across Japan for many years through various TV appearances.

This is a Nagasaki City project aimed at allowing more Nagasaki citizens to enjoy theatrical performances, concerts, sporting events, and other events held at Nagasaki Stadium City.
Using donations from companies received through the "Nagasaki Stadium City Collaboration Excitement and Vitality Creation Project," Nagasaki City will subsidize event organizers' expenses, making it possible for Nagasaki citizens to enjoy tickets at a discounted price.

The seats eligible for the subsidy are those located towards the back of the plane or those with a potentially obstructed view.
