Nagasaki Electric Tramway Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture / CEO: Noriaki Nakajima) and Regional Creation Nagasaki Co., Ltd. (Head office: Nagasaki City, Nagasaki Prefecture / CEO: Hideki Iwashita) are pleased to announce that they have entered into a partnership to work on promoting the use of public transportation at Nagasaki Stadium City.

After the opening of Nagasaki Stadium City, many visitors are expected for events such as soccer and basketball games and music concerts, and we will work together to reduce congestion and traffic congestion in the surrounding area. In addition to dispersing transportation methods, we will create an enjoyable experience for visitors to Nagasaki Stadium City by using public transportation and foster a culture.

■About the partnership
Going forward, we will be taking the following steps:

1. Acquired naming rights for Takaramachi tram stop and Zenizamachi tram stop. The tram stops will be named "Stadium City South" and "Stadium City North."

Regional Creation Nagasaki has acquired the naming rights to the Takaramachi and Zenizamachi tram stops as part of a partnership to promote the use of public transport. In order to make Nagasaki Stadium City a destination not only for local residents but also for visitors to Nagasaki, the name of the facility will be included in the tram stop names, and Takaramachi tram stop will be renamed to "Stadium City South" and Zenizamachi tram stop will be renamed to "Stadium City North" from October 1, 2024.

2. Between Nagasaki Station and Stadium City stations, it will be possible to operate return trips depending on congestion!

In order to alleviate congestion when traveling for those who use the tram on a daily basis and for those who use it for events, a new crossing will be installed between the Stadium City South and Stadium City North tram stops, which will allow for the smooth addition of additional special services depending on the level of congestion, as well as making it possible for tram services to operate in return to Nagasaki Ekimae tram stop.

3. An exciting train that you'll want to ride, with events planned for Nagasaki residents and children.

We are working on various plans to ease congestion and parking issues and improve convenience for local residents.
We are considering a plan to allow unlimited rides on all tram lines to help elderly people and students who do not own cars. In addition, to create fun and excitement for riding the tram, we will plan ways to enjoy it that you can't experience in your daily life, such as having players make announcements on game days and having drivers wear uniforms. We will also work together to enliven Nagasaki by co-hosting events for Nagasaki residents and children who will lead the future.
