Ichiro Toba
Born in a town with a thriving fishing industry, as the eldest of two sons and two daughters to a fisherman father and a female diver mother, he grew up with the sea from an early age. From the age of 17, he pursued his dreams at sea for five years as a crew member on deep-sea tuna and bonito boats. After that, he came ashore and obtained a chef's license to train as a chef, but he could not give up his dream of becoming a singer, so at the age of 27, he moved to Tokyo and knocked on the door of his idol, Toru Funamura.
After three years of training as an apprentice, he decided on a stage name based on his hometown and made his debut with the song "Kyoudai Fune" on August 25, 1982. His younger brother, fellow singer Yutaka Yamakawa, is six years younger than him.

In 1977, he appeared on TV Tokyo's "East vs. West Children's Singing Imitation Contest" and was scouted. After graduating from high school in 1984, he made his debut with "Kamome Omaenara."
As she was a student of Shosuke Ichikawa and her debut year coincided with the time that Harumi Miyako took a break, she was talked about as the "return of Harumi Miyako." In 1985, her third song "Otoko Fune" became a hit, selling over 700,000 copies. In 1987, she made her first appearance on the NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen. Since then, she has won many awards at various competitions.
In 1999, he became the first Japanese person to make his debut in Korea, and in 2001 he became a regular on NHK Educational TV's "Hangul Lecture," becoming a pioneer of the Korean wave.

Tetsuji Kimura
He was born on July 11, 1991 as the second son of Ichiro Toba, one of Japan's leading singers.
Attracted by enka from an early age, he began performing on numerous stages during high school. In 2016, invited by his older brother Ryuzo, he formed the pop duo "Ryūtetsu Nikki" with his brother. He has attracted attention for his singing, which shows a wide range of genres beyond just enka and popular songs. While continuing his activities with Ryutetsu Nikki, he was unable to let go of his childhood admiration for enka, and decided to debut as a solo enka singer. He is now taking a new step in order to become the successor to his father, Ichiro Toba's "solid enka" style.
