Instructor Profile
Mamoru Kataoka
Born in Tokyo in 1948. In 1968, he moved to Italy and trained for five years as a chef for a diplomat.
After returning to Japan, he worked as head chef at a renowned restaurant before opening "Ristorante Al Porto" in Nishi-Azabu in 1983.
He is known as a pioneer in establishing Italian cuisine in Japan, and continues to dedicate himself to the development of food culture and the training of future generations.
